CI26

CI26 is now firmly established as the leading hydrophilic material for the production of intraocular lenses. It offers the perfect balance between superior machining characteristics, refractive index and foldability. Its mechanical properties ensure that the lens can be folded and injected easily, while allowing for a smooth and controlled unfolding. CI26 is suitable for a wide range of lens designs using an incision size as low as 1.8mm.

Contamac’s unique manufacturing technology is key to CI26’s consistent performance and predictable results. We also offer a yellow version – CI26Y – that improves blue light absorption.

Nature: Copolymer of hydroxyethyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate
