Working with Contamac
There are surely few things more rewarding than to work in an industry that changes peoples’ lives. That is our privilege. The ability to help restore the gift of sight never fails to inspire. At Contamac we’re immensely proud of our staff, our facilities, and the technologies we’ve pioneered. But most of all, we’re proud that there are people across all corners of the world who couldn’t see yesterday, who can today, because of us.
Not all of our work is binary. Raising comfort levels experienced by contact lens wearers may not sound as glamourous as restoring sight, but it is no less important. Modern lenses help treat painful and debilitating eye conditions. New materials and lens designs actually improve eye health. Our role in promoting best practice is ongoing. But we can – and we will – do more.
If you would like to be a part of that story, if you would like to empower others through your vision, and using your talent, then we’d like to hear from you.
People are our business
As manufacturers of biocompatible products and intraocular and contact lens materials one might reasonably argue that everything we do revolves around people, but we feel it’s the other way around. Our employees made Contamac what it is today. They are our greatest asset. Many of them have been with us for decades, and some have been with us from the start – thirty years ago. Our ongoing investment in training and modern, state-of-the-art premises are two obvious examples of our commitment to them. But what really drives our team to keep coming to work each morning is the knowledge that they can truly make a difference, and be recognised for it. All of our success – every award and plaudit we’ve received – is the product of their hard work and inspiration.
Setting higher standards
Contamac works with some of the leading trade organisations and higher education establishments in the world in a constant bid to promote best practice and raise industry standards. Our in-house specialists regularly speak at conferences, and we often play host to PhD and MA students.
We currently enjoy research and development partnerships with Heidelberg, Pacific, Aston and Kingston Universities, as well as the University of SEA, to name just a few.
Contamac is proud to be part of a global network of ocular specialists. We have offices in the UK, US and China, and distributors in many other countries. We do business in nearly a dozen different languages. So, if you want a challenging career in a cutting-edge international business, talk to us.
