Contamac has been in the ophthalmic industry for over 20 years and during this time we as a business have gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge in all aspects of the eye and, in particular, contact lenses. Amongst our highly qualified team of Scientists and Technical Experts we have an in depth knowledge of the optical industry and with the Team’s help we have complied some information for your reference.

The resource centre provides information on the anatomy of the eye, which is demonstrated using an interactive eye diagram that will highlight different sections of the eye and offer descriptions alongside. This page also contains information on how the eye works, eye protection, accommodation of the eye and visual phototransduction.

Our Resource Centre also contains a guide on certain conditions of the eye, including causes, symptoms and publicly available treatments. In addition to this, we have page dedicated to the eye condition of cataracts.

If you are a contact lens wearer, or are just interested, then we also have details on acceptable procedures for contact lens care, including contact lens insertion, contact lens removal and the do’s and the don’ts of both these subjects. We also have information on general contact lens solutions for both gas permeable contact lenses and soft contact lenses.

Alongside all of the above we have also made available in this section information designed for students of all ages and a fun pack for children to help enhance their learning of the eye function.
