Definitive and Optimum Featured at the BCLA!
The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) held its annual exhibition from May 29th to June 1st, at Birmingham’s Metropole Hotel, located in the heart of the city. Internationally renowned as one of the finest shows for specialist contact lens fitters, Contamac took the opportunity to support their customers at this busy event.
This year Contamac’s Dr Tristan Tapper, provided valuable on stand support to the UltraVision CLPL team as they took new lens designs made from Definitive Silicone Hydrogel, to an exhibition for the first time.
Also as part of our ongoing commitment to successful partnerships and the shared emphasis on R&D resulting in new designs from Optimum materials, Contamac supported Jack Allen Contact Lenses and sponsored No 7 Contact Lenses in a vastly popular Wii competition. Both companies reported a busy and productive show.
Alongside Dr Tapper, Martyn Lewis and Gareth Browne of Contamac contributed technical and material support to those customers who were exhibiting, while Dr Richard Young attended the lecture programme to support his research into future developments. Martyn Lewis commented:

There were many new product launches from international companies, adding to the vibrancy of the show. Contamac’s team were very busy and on hand to support our customers’, to grow their businesses with new product launches from both Optimum and Definitive materials. It was great for Contamac to offer technical support and on occasions just be there to answer queries, as our customers’ stands were so busy…”
