Contamac Launch Interactive Resource Centre
Today sees the launch of Contamac’s interactive “Resource Centre” on www.contamac.com adding further significance to our commitment to innovation and the future. The new section contains an interactive eye diagram to the different parts of the eye, together with the definitions of parts, an educational download pack for children and studying students, information on cataracts, eye conditions, treatments and solutions, and much more.

The Resource Centre is primarily aimed at students, consumers and those who are just curious. It is the outcome of research conducted by Contamac and is part of the ongoing online marketing plan, first announced in January 2007. Research results showed a distinct lack of sources that covered all areas of optical information on just one website, for all levels of knowledge and a lack of specifics available to consumers on the origin and production of the material used for Contact Lenses and IOLs. This direct level of communication is vital with today’s culture of the health conscious and environmentally aware.

This new section has taken months of preparation and research that was aided by Alison Clargo, a studying student from Bath University, who undertook the mammoth project of researching and helping construct the copy on various topics, during her summer break.

Contamac hopes the success of the new “Resource Centre” helps educate the public on the pioneering optical industry and in particular the contact lens industry. Also in the very near future another section will be released, aimed specifically at practitioners!
