Contamac Enjoys a Busy EFCLIN 2007

Over 200 participants attended this year’s EFCLIN exhibition and annual congress, which took place at the NH Hotel Malaga over three days the 11th, 12th and 13th October 2007.

Contamac B.V. launched Opteq’s new Auto-Loader system, which generated vast interest from exhibition attendees and further demonstrates the continuous investment in technology development that Contamac believes in.

Contamac took the opportunity at EFCLIN to continue promoting their industry leading materials, GM Advance, F2 and the highly praised Optimum range. Rob McGregor commented, “It is clear that our customers are manufacturing a greater range of speciality lenses to help them grow their business, and we are delighted that we have a range of materials that meet this demand. Obviously our research programme continues to satisfy market trends and we are pleased that in the near future exciting, novel materials will be available from Contamac”.

EFCLIN organised two mornings of industry-associated lectures, in which both visitors and exhibitors took the opportunity to learn about trade activities and new technology. Contamac’s Ken Payne gave a well-received lecture entitled “To Polish or not to Polish?” Ken also jointly presented the “Wavefront Asymmetric Correction with Contact Lenses” lecture with Lefteris Karageorgiadis from EyeArt in Greece. As an Optometrist and manufacturer of special lenses, Lefteris promotes Wavefront Technology to his customers and along with Ken is an important member of the Wavefront Technology Working Group.
